This book is like "Almost Famous" crossed with VH1's Behind the Music and I loved every minute of it. If you like Fleetwood Mac, piles of cocaine, and bad life choices set against a 70's rock n' roll back drop, this is the book for you. The only problem is it doesn't come with a playlist of all the songs in the book.
A slow-burn family drama about assimilation and holding on to your culture. This is the first book from Sarah Jessica Parker's imprint and is a beautiful debut.
I really enjoyed this character-driven space romp! Reading this feels like taking a road trip with your best friends. There's always something to be learned from good science fiction and we could all learn how to treat our fellow sapients from Becky Chambers.
A satirical tale of two sisters who stick together through thick and thin and multiple murders.
I love this book and found myself laughing out loud a lot. I can't wait to read the other three in the series. After all, an evil alien warlord bookseller must always finish what she starts.
A modern retelling of the 12 Labors of Hercules which recounts the twelve times Loo's father has been shot. A touching story about the lengths a father will go to to ensure his daughter's safety.
A sweet and powerful story about the family we choose and the real meaning of home. Have tissues ready!
