Introducing The Family Story Workbook
“Author Kris Spisak has done it again. This time, she couples her literary magic with an easy ‘interview recipe’ for you and your loved ones to finally formulate your family story.” - Ken Murray, author, On ParrA Celebration of Stories, Local Authors & Indie Bookstores
Each "Story Stop" on Kris Spisak's virtual book tour for The Family Story Workbook is a curated evening where local authors will take the virtual spotlight, sharing memories from their own lives that capture the importance of preserving family histories and/or how family stories can shape us into the people we become.
Indie bookstores have always been essential pieces of our communities, allowing readers to find empathy and meaning through stories, and we're living in a moment when we need to listen to and understand each other more than ever. By bringing together local authors and audiences of readers, these events are also designed for book sales to support the booksellers doing so much for us all, as always.
Kris Spisak wrote her first book, Get a Grip on Your Grammar: 250 Writing and Editing Reminders for the Curious or Confused, with a goal of helping writers of all kinds sharpen their craft and empower their communications. Her “Words You Should Know” podcast and “Grammartopia” events follow the same mission, as does her second book, The Novel Editing Workbook: 105 Tricks and Tips for Revising Your Fiction Manuscript. Kris's past events have been held for standing room-only crowds at bookstores, libraries, and craft breweries, and she has also spoken at universities, military commands, business seminars, and on the radio and television.
